You will have a variety of clients with different expectations. It's important to let your client know the condition of their natural lashes. Some clients have long lashes, while others are short. Some are thick while others are brittle. Not every client can safely rock the Kim K look, and they will need to know why. Always take a picture of your clients natural lashes before you get started. Talk to them about what you notice about their natural lashes. You are the specialist so make sure you keep them informed. Never give someone lashes if it means compromising the integrity of the natural lash.
Lashes are made from synthetic fibers not taken from animal fur. Even though many companies claim to have mink, sabel, silk, etc. Eyelash extensions used to be very hard and thick, packaged in a box, not placed on a lash trays. Lash artists would take a handful of loose classic lashes and try to make a fan in their hands - often by pinching. Doesn’t that sound difficult? Well it is. The pinching method doesn’t work the best with 0.10 + 0.07 lashes but can with 0.05 + 0.03.
Fast Forward to 2020 and lashes are packaged perfectly in lash trays, on sticky tape, numbered, consistent and so convenient.

One of the most beautiful things about Lash Legend® is the ability to transform our novice, or inexperienced students into Hollywood Lash Artists in no time. If you can apply Classic lashes, you can certainly apply Crystallized Fans®. Crystallized Fans® may cost a little more, but you'll create stunning full sets of volume lashes in the same amount of time as Classic lashes. Isn’t that exciting!
You should give yourself 2-3 hours per client for a full set and start with a base fee.
For example, You charged $80 for a set of Classic Lashes which takes you 2 hours. Crystallized fans® cost you more money (but save you valuable time), so you set your base price at $80 an hour then add an extra $30 to cover the cost of your products. This is what we recommend charging starting off for a Classic Lash application.

Framing
First of all we need to chat about how different everyones eye shapes are. Some eye shapes can be recognized immediately based on a specific ethnic group, such as Asian, who have the most distinct shape. Asian eyes have covered inside corners, a single eyelid, and oftentimes, downward facing lashes. Those downward facing lashes can be a struggle. What lash curl do you think would be best? L+ of course!
European eyes, by contrast, usually have the inner corner of the eye more exposed with an external fold. Eye shape isn't always ethnicity-dependent. Any ethnic group can have heavily hooded eyes, deep set eyes, downturned eyes or even almond eyes that change with age and genetics.
Did you know?
Only true blue or brown eyes actually exist! Mixes of different colours like green and hazel are produced by the washes that glaze over the iris. So a green eye is usually blue with a yellow wash. Eye colour can also change as we age.
Temperature, Humidity, & Retention
Most eyelash extension adhesives contain a vital ingredient called CYANOACRYLATE. Cyanoacrylates are a family of STRONG, fast-acting acrylic resins that polymerize in the presence of hydrogen. Without taking you back to first-year chemistry, lash extension applications require a Cure Mister to provide the adhesive with enough moisture to form a strong bond. This bond ensures that the synthetic and natural lashes are secured or super-glued with minimum influence from environmental factors, and conjoined until the growth cycle comes to an end. When cyanoacrylate cures (and degrades) varying concentrations of formaldehyde are released. Therefore, using the Cure Mister during the application process will reduce unnecessary exposure to harmful gases. Cyanoacrylates are skin, eye, and upper respiratory tract irritants - and a known allergen. Once the adhesive is cured, it becomes non-irritating and non-allergenic.
